Expansion of Gulf Coast Western Company
The company was started in 1970 with headquarters in Dallas, Texas and other offices in Mississippi, Louisiana, Colorado, and Oklahoma. The expansion of the Gulf Coast under the leadership of Matthew Fleeger has been triggered by two main partnerships. One of them is Orbit Gulf Coast Exploration. Gulf Coast acquired all the assets of the Orbit Energy Partners as well as property rights and access to hundreds of square lines and 3D seismic data in Southwestern Louisiana.
The second partnership is with the North cote Energy Limited based in Dallas. Gulf Coast, under this partnership, acquired 50% working interest and assets of the company. This caused the company to expand its operations in the Shoats Creek Field in Louisiana. The area produces over 4 Million barrels of oil from multiple Wilcox formation sands. Gulf Coast also purchased 25% working interest in all wells drilled in the Wilcox formation. Matthew Fleeger continues to lead Gulf Coast Western to a more successful future in the industry.
