yesterday, back visiting in seattle, i picked up a length of drive band cordage & some dyed merino top from weaving works with hopes of getting the old family heirloom spinning wheel up and running. this wheel came from my 79 year-old mom’s great aunt back in norway. letters carved …

Work continues to move quickly at Elliott Avenue West and West Mercer Place! The traffic island has been removed and the replacement asphalt has been placed. Still to come… a new c-curb, pavement markings, changes to the signal timings and a new overhead sign.

I carried the Rolleiflex almost the entire trip through Seattle. I only shot 1 roll through the Hasselblad and that was on the last night of the trip. It felt good shooting the Rollei, the camera feels really natural to me. We’ll see though when the negatives come back.
