DENMARK TO AID UKRAINE'S GREEN ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE

Ukraine and Denmark signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and recovery. The document includes assistance totaling nearly 400 million euros, according to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

The memorandum was signed by First Deputy Prime Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko and Minister for Business of Denmark Morten Bødskov.

The Ministry of Economy emphasized that the memorandum paid special attention to the green transformation of the economy and the implementation of innovative solutions for critical infrastructure.

"In particular, to support critical infrastructure that uses renewable energy, the Danish government will allocate additional funding to the Ukrainian EIFO Mechanism (Export-Import Fund) in the amount of 2.85 billion Danish kroner (approximately 380 million euros)," the Ministry wrote. Denmark will also allocate at least 300 million Danish kroner (about 40 million euros) to the Export-Import Fund, which is part of the Danish-Ukrainian Fund. This fund was created to reduce the financial risks of companies involved in Ukraine's recovery.

Furthermore, Ukraine intends to collaborate with Danish companies in the shipbuilding sector related to military-naval potential. This cooperation may include the purchase of patrol ships.

Denmark's assistance to Ukraine

Denmark has been an ally of Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. It provides Ukraine with both military and financial assistance.

Denmark is one of the countries that has agreed to transfer F-16 fighter jets to Ukrainian defenders. Recently, the Danish Ambassador to Ukraine, Ole Egberg Mikkelsen, promised that the jets would be delivered as early as this summer.
